Hi,
I'm fairly new to this whole genealogy lark, however, I thought that having found this site I'd see if anyone could help with this part of my family.
My Grandmother was Francis Savill (b 20 Oct 1904), the youngest of 17 children, sixteen of which survived to adulthood and got married. Her father was David Savill (b. 1855, Brentwood) and her mother was Clara (nee Colman, b. 1858 Great Bursted). The family home was in High St, Billericay.
I have a little information, but with such a huge family I wondered if there was any one out there who could help fill in some of the gaps.
Thanks for any assistance,
Steve Holmes

Thanks everyone for their assistance.
I had the 1881, 1891 and 1901 stuff about David Savill in Billericay, plus my father knows some of the family history.
From what the rest of you have said, I have...
Stephen J Savill (b c1818, Gt Baddow) - my Great, Great Grandfather
married Eliiza (b. c1818, Upminster)
later married Mary A E (b. c1841, Lambeth, Surrey)
Children - by Eliza Stephen J (b. c1847, Gt Warley) Henry (b. c1849, Brentwood) Emily (b. c1851, Brentwood) Rebecca (b. c1853, Brentwood) David (b. c1855, Brentwood) - my Great Grandfather
by Mary A E ? Mary (b. c1861, Brentwood) Jane (b. c1863, Brentwood) William (b. c1867, Gt Warley) Ellen (b. c 1869, Gt Warley)
Thanks again for all you help and Merry Christmas to you all,
Steve

Hi Steve. Have only just found your site, and was very interested. My Grandfather was Stephen, brother to your Francis. Stephen came to Australia in1910, travelling with his Brothers in Law Robert and Arthur Stringer, husbands of Phoebe and Daisy. I have some of the F.H. but would love to hear more, In about 1938 or so , I remember my Fathers Auntie Violet coming out to Australia. I believe she married Reginald Clarke. I hope to hear from you if that is possible, Yours in the family Gwen (nee Savill)
