Hello everyone, I am trying to find out the details of a marriage between WILLIAM STINTON B1796 COTHERIDGE and MARY ANN ???B1801 census just give birth place as Worcester. Their first child was born 1823 and their last 1836 which is so frustrating as I am unable to find MARY ANN'S maiden name 1841 census give their address as in Claines,1851 as ST Swithens and all there children born in Claines. I have looked on familyseach.org on the IGI but have not found anything other than the childrens christening records and there is one William Stinton 's marriage to a Mary Banford but it is not the correct one. There are two things I am asking, 1) If I looked at the actual christening records would it give me the mothers maiden name ?
2) Are there any on line parish records for marriges for this area of Worcester ?
Is there anyone who can help me please ?
Any advice gratefully appreciated, thank you, Kath

Thank you they are really good questions . On some census she is Mary Ann and on others she is Mary .She lived until the 1871 census ( cannot find the family on 1881 ) and is quite easy to follow. Just a thought, would her maiden name be on her death certificate ? The reasons I do not think she is Mary Banford is that someone contacted me two days ago regarding a william Stinton who he is researching and he believes that his William Stinton married Mary Banford and the children he is researching are entirely different to the ones I have in my tree. Another reason is the date of marriage .They had their first child 1823 and a child ever two years after that, well there was a gap in 1830 ,as Mary Banford married in 1819 I would have thought there would be a child sooner, that is unless she lost her first.
Perhaps someone could help me here with the place of the marriage which took place at HALLOW 30TH August 1819,would Hallow be near Claines or St Swithins ? Not that that is conclusive but every bit of infomation helps. regards Kath
