Does anyone have any additional information they could give me on my grandfather x4, Joseph Brown.
He was born in Shap about 1776, his wife, Ann Rawes was born in 1776, and married on 4/3/1799.
He died in 1840.
He worked as a slate cutter and he and Ann went on to have 9 children one of which was my grandmother x3, Margaret born in Shap in 1814.
Although I know lots about the Rawes family I know nothing about the Brown's - could anybody help?
