Hi gladys,
This marriage does not appear to have taken place anywhere in Cornwall. The Calstock marriages for this period are online and it did not take place there. http://www.minebydesign.co.uk/calstock/census/marriages.htm#1800 Since Joanna was born in Devon, I suspect the marriage most likely took place there. I do not see an online source for Northleigh, but do note the registers are held at the Devon Records Office and the Devon FHS has indexed marriages 1754-1837.......Cheers Kris

hi Gladys
I just put in the name Joanna, b 1809 +/- 5 years and scroll through ...it takes a while ...lol
I believe that the reg district for Northlew is Okehampton...
I found these Joannas:
Joanna BELLAMY b 1809 okehampton (submitted) ..cannot find a marriage for her Joanna MOGGERIDGE 13 nov 1804 bratton Fleming (part of Okehampton) Joanna PASSEY 21 Jan 1810 Okehampton Joanna GLOVER 7 april 1805 Clovelly
there was a great one ...I was sooooo excited ... Joanna hICKS 11 feb 1809 Eastcott farm Northlew ....BUT she married a John Palmer
maybe the only way to go is to order a birth cert of one of Joanna and Williams children.....

hi Gladys
i have just seen something
In 1851: Joanna WARWICK is 43 , widow living in Calstock Town with children: Ann 17, John 12, William 9, James 7. Two doors down there is a Thomas WARWICK with wife and child ... he is 27, b Calstock and a PILOT (William was also a PILOT).... maybe Joanna and william got married earlier than what we thought ... If Thomas is the eldest son then she would have had him when she was about 16.....
just checked 1841...Joanna and William have a son aged 15, Thomas , so eldest child born circa 1824/26..... not 1834 (Ann daughter was born that year)... cannot find any of the children's christenings on IGi...
deb
ps ...Gladys in 1841 living next door to the warrick family is a JOLL family LOL

Hi deb your a star and yes i will send for a birth certificate of James 1844 then we will know Joannas name and i will let you know as you have been very good helping me and i appreciate it and every one else who has helped me. The Joll next door to Warricks i might have them, could you tell me the name please if it isn`t any bother. With the the posties strike i will have to wait till next week to send for the certificate.
Just read your other message now and i`ll have to look at my tree for William & Hannah Statton for her maiden name as ave got that many names in the Statton family , there must be a connection. I will get back to you. Gladys.

Me again deb Hannah Maria Warrick but on her baptism she is Anna Maria child of William Warrick and Joanna, got the baptisms off Calstock on Line Parish Registers through typing in google. When i get the chance i will have to look at the Statton 1861 census. Thanks a lot. Regards Gladys.
