I am new to the NZ research so am unsure what is avaiable such as census look-ups etc. I would like to request any information on William Charlton bn 1835 NBL England. He arrived in Port Chalmers in 1871 with sister Frances Davison bn 1841. They lived with her husband Walter Davison bn 1835 for approx 8 years at Manuka Creek and then moved to Balclutha where Walter died on 2 Jul 1895.
I would like to know whether William Charlton married and when or where he died, my sources tell me he must have died after 1906.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards Bob

1893 electoral roll there is Surname DAVIDSON Given Name Walter Number 747 Electorate Clutha Voting Qualification Residential Residential Address Balclutha Occupation Stockman Surname DAVIDSON Given Name Frances Number 752 Electorate Clutha Voting Qualification Residential Residential Address Balclutha Occupation Domestic There are several William and Annie CHARLTON's but sadly not at same location
There is a william Charlton who arrives 1867 on RANGITOTO Port Chalmers, so the marriage to Annie maybe to another William. not yours
Any second name??
Annie and William are at Clinton. Annie dying 6/9/1904 and William (a Blacksmith) 1922 Info can be seen at archives nz (Dunedin court)

Thank you for your help on this, is there any chance I could view the 1867 passenger list for the RANGITOTO. The reason I ask is that originally William Charlton and his brother-in-law Walter Davison travelled Eng-Aus then came to NZ shortly after. After they had established themselves William went back to Eng to fetch his sister (Walter's wife) in 1871. I am unsure of the Eng-Aus/Aus-NZ travel prior to 1871 so would like to see if Walter is with William on the ship. William has no middle name.
Thanks again for previous info

checking back RANGITOTO departed MElbourne 16 may 1867, he is listed as Miner aged 26, single, country is England
so age not quite right for yours. Lots of Walter Davison/davidson but not that voyage
Trying to access Papers past to search there, but for some reason not online.
