I am searching for any information on the R. Bell & Co. match factory located about 1832-1833 in Wandsworth, Surrey. My ancestor' occupation was listed as a "wax vesta manufacturer" in the 1851 census. I have been led to believe that this was a reasonably new trade.
My ancestor lived on Point Pleasant in Wandsworth in 1841 and would be very appreciative of any information regarding what kind of a street it was (inhabitants, etc.).
