Two place names. Where in Longford?- COMPLETED
« on: Wednesday 22 December 04 20:39 UTC (UK) »

Hi,
I have 1855 birth certificate for Frank McNamee.  Parents were Bernard McNamee and Bridget O'Neil.  According to the spidery writing Bernard came from 'Tardrummond/end'? and Bridget from 'Donagh'? both in Co. Longford.

I'm not sure if my interpretation of this birth certificate is even close, so I would be very grateful for any suggestions as to the correct names.

Bernard's father, Francis and his first wife, Bridget Flynn, were married in Kiloe, Longford in 1836

Thanks,
Maddymoss

Hi,
Sorry about the boob.  Francis and Bernard McNamee were half-brothers.   James McNamee was their father.  James married 1/ Bridget Hughes; 2/ Ann Campbell.
Cheers,

Hi Maddymoss,

The townlands are Fardrumman (823 acres) and Doorac (376 acres). They are both in the Civil Parish of Killoe.
