Hagness!!!
« on: Thursday 11 October 07 19:37 BST (UK) »

Ref: RG9/1986/54/16.

A better pair of eyes please Huh

At the above reference the eldest HORTON daughter  appears to be, on the original,  Hagness Undecided (mother Elizabeth)

Can somebody come up with a more sensible name?

Thanks!

That was my best guess.
The only fly in the ointment is that there is no birth registration for an Agnes Horton in Wolverhampton (or Staffordshire) in 1854/55 - she was given as 6 in 1861. The nearest is Q4 1858.

Saw that! Undecided There's a Hannah registered in 1855 but Hagness doesn't look much like Hannah does it?

I see she's the oldest child. Are you sure Elizabeth was a Horton in 1855?  Smiley

Married George Horton, 1850 Dudley as Eliza (HO107/2017/426/18) - seems to alter from Eliza to Elizabeth in censuses. George died 1860.

Bit of a gap to first (surviving??) child, but I'm preeeety sure its her. Not many Eliza/Elizabeths from Dittons Priors, 1825.
