On 1901 census I have Jane Pennington c1829 Upholland, Lancashire living with her Daughter Ellen Sixsmith c1864, Son-In-Law Thomas Sixsmith c1859 and family.
RG13/3569 Folio 39 Page 31
In 1891 census I have her with her Daughter Jane Watson c1870, Son-In-Law Thomas Watson c1867 and family.
RG12/ 3066 Folio 33 Page 2
On both these census she is down as a Widow but everywhere else I have found her she is down as Unmarried.
In 1881 Surname is transcribed as Pinnington c1830 same place born, Occupation Laborer at Coalmine (Out of Employ)
She is with her Children
Ellen Pinnington c1864
Jane Pinnington c1870
Mathias Pinnington c1866
and a lodger Mary Smith c1855
In 1871 Surname is back to Pennington Janes year of birth is at 1841 but the childrens years of birth are the same as everywhere else.
In 1861 year of birth is correct and she is a servent, family on census are
Mary Hurst c1816
Joseph Hurst c1851
Thomas Hurst c1852
Ellen Hurst c1855
All the 1881, 1871, and 1861 census are for Uphollan Lancashire
I also think I have found her on IGI Christening as Jane Pinnington Christened 31/08/1828 at Upholland Lancashire and her parents are down as Mother only Ellen Pinnington
Does anyone have any ideas of whether I have got this right or not.

If it were me I'd be very curious to see what the birth certificate of one of the children said. Fair enough if the father's name is blank but what if there was a father's name and if it gave a maiden name for Jane?
For the sake of the cost of just one certificate I don't think I could resist it.
