William Welch, bootmaker, at 2 Midland Road is listed in 1914 Kellys, as per
http://www.historicaldirectories.org/
However in 1910, from same source, is Mrs Minnie Betts, confectioner - hence the chocolate adverts
& in 1903 is William Harvey, confectioner

Cas, The Electoral rolls are held the Bedford reference library of Beds Archives
See link for info..... http://www.galaxy.bedfordshire.gov.uk/webingres/bedfordshire/vlib/0.local_studies/electoral_registers_where.htm
Found another Kellys 1902, 2 Midland Road, was Cheeseman & Munday, confectioners.
So we have 3 different confectioners, 1902, 1903, 1910 (hence the chocolate adverts) --- & then in 1914 its the Bootmaker. So did Florrie sell fruit & veg between 1910-1914 - does that tie up with ages of the people in the picture ?

Yes it could fit. It may possibly be 1910 - 1914. with what you found. It is suggested the photo was taken between 1908 - 1920.
If you have it filled by others pre 1910 and post 1914 I think its a very good bet. Thanks for the elecrol info, could I email a request look up or is it just in person?
Also could I request any burial info via email?
Many thanks Cas

You have a very good 'nose' lol.
Yes John you are correct, Flo's parents were Emma & Thomas Townsend.
Second marriage for Emma was to Albert Gibbons and all other children were his. Flo took the name of her stepfather.
Best wishes
Cas
