1871 Census - Andrew Milne - COMPLETED WITH MANY THANKS TO BEE AND BARBARA

Looking for Andrew Milne on 1871 census.  He was born in 1868 in York.  Information from 1881 census: Father - William, Mother - Isabella both born Aberdeen aged 45 and 42 respectively.  Father's occupation - Comb Maker.  Siblings who would be on 1871 census are George (aged 17 on 1881) and Isabella (aged 11).  Children all born York.

I am wanting to know if there are any older brothers or sisters.

Thank you both very much indeed for your trouble - I'm sure you are both right and that this is the family - there can't be that many 'William and Isabella' born Aberdeen!  I see there is a son Hugh that I didn't have so thank you again.  I can now look for him on 1881.  I also didn't have the marriage so that is a bonus.

Have you checked out the yorkshirebmd site, there are a whole raft of Milnes born in York.

Thank you for that - will have a look.  I tend to use freebmd more than yorkshirebmd but usually do a double-check on both as I have found that sometimes one site has missed an entry which the other site carries.
