Hi all, could someone please do an 1871 look up for William BENTLEY b. Eastwood, Nottingham abt. 1843, he would be about 28 and may be at 6 Main Street Black Horse, Mapperley, Derbyshire. There should be a son, Robert about 3 years old.

Hi Sue... the Old Black Horse was owned by William Bentley, husband of Ellen Noon, Robert Noon's daughter, in 1881. That is awesome. So far I have found 5 lines of the family that were brewers or publicans in Derby/Nott area. Nice to see something other that agricultural labouror in the lineage.
