Hi I am interested in the Thorpe connection. My research has a Ruth Thorpe and Isaac Middleton married 3 Nov 1813 daughter Mary Middleton and son John Middleton.  Mary married John Booker from Ughill, Bradfield, Sheffield.

I am looking for the records from Derwent during the 1780 - 1827.  These link with a charlesworth, Booker, Middleton in New Zealand

Hello Kiwi
Can you please expand a little on the Thorpe connection.
My principal interest is Wyatt but with a Tagg connection.Obviously you have noticed a possible Thorpe connection arising from my earlier postings.I would like to investigate further.

Hi
not a great more detail - Hope woodland / Derwent and with a connection with Hathersage as the children were registered in both hope and Hathersage. Sorry

Did you know that Ruth and Isaac appear to have had at least 5 children over the years 1814-1821 asa per the IGI.I had noticed Hathersage Derwent and Hope.
Do you recognise any of the Thorp(e) names mentioned in the earlier postings. My interest is mainly Wyatt and Tagg but there must also be a Thorp(e) connection somewhere.

Are you familiar with the legend of Joe Tagg and his dog Tip?
Joe was living with a Thorpe when he died.

Hi no sorry, I have no more information - except that the derwent was the focus and when that was flooded later the cemetery was moved. Every body from the cemetery was labelled and documented and removed to another cemetery.
