2nd Lt R W Stead - well this is a bit silly!
« on: Monday 15 October 07 12:13 UTC (UK) »

Well upon arriving here to update information it seems I no longer have anywhere to post it.  I now notice two separate threads for this subject and both are locked against me.

I also read that there is some information available which used to be publicly displayed, I guess this would be useful for refreshing memory and suggesting other lines of enquiry, but it seems I would also need to obtain a password from the holder.

This quest seems to have become a closed shop, kudos will most certainly go to those who finally pull the rabbit out of the hat, hopefully from good results being fed to the core team by those beavering away in the background with no place to lodge findings.  I leave you to it.

Hi Wocky,

Liverpool Annie has clearly stated here,
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,261805.0.html

- why the topic has been locked,
- and that she will accept further information by PM,
- and that more info will follow

This topic you are reading now is also locked - so as to keep it concise and easily digested by anyone who may research our subject and find it  in an internet search.
If you have any information on Robert or his family please don't hesitate -  Send me a Private message (PM)

Thank you so much  to everyone who has so far helped with our Quest !
I hope we can continue and can bring about a resolution to provide a final resting place for "the Tag" and reunite it with the brave soldier who wore it.

I'll post a research co-ordination  topic - which will outline what is currently been looked into and asking for any other help needed
And that  topic will be linked to this one !
