Do you have the full 1861 census details because you've only named 2 children above, and their ages are wrong according to 1861 entry

Hi Cat, thanks for the info. Yes I do have the 1861 census info .Here is what I have.
Samuel TIMMS-age 35 Sarah A-wife-age 36-born Slapton,Bucks Ebernezer-son-age 19 George-son-age 11 Martha-daughter-age 2 Zebulon-son-2 Ellen HEDGES-age 13-Neice-born Aston Abbots,Bucks n.b Those not mentioned born in Stanbridge,Beds
This info was sent to me by another rootschatter and the estimated years of birth was put down not the ages so I've had to do my best guess. Trisha

A typo seems to have slipped into Catherine's 1861 transcription - Sarah A's age in 1861 was 36, not 26

Hhhmmm missing in 1861, but here he is in 1851 with family -
HO107/1756 Folio 13 Page 19 Leighton Buzzard, Beds Samuel Tims 24 Plait Dealer Stanbridge Sarah A 26 Bucks Slapton Samuel H 3 Leighton B Geo e. Rich/k? 1 Stanbridge Ann Rickard sister in law 19 Plait Maker Slapton
Marriage - Sarah Ann Rickard December 1846 Leighton Buzzard Vol 6 Page 161 Groom - Samuel Tims (4 others listed too but as his sister in law Ann Rickard, it would probably be safe to assume that this is the correct couple)

Hi Cat, thanks for the info. In the 1861 census is the sister in laws surname definately "Rickard" and not "Richards" because I've have had that version too. I agree with you she is obviously the key to Sarahs maiden name. Trisha
