Has anyone found a Nicholas Hixson born about 1758 in Yorkshire?

In 1801 he was in Swansea , Glamorgan, Wales and married a Mary Morgan. The family myth is that he came from Yorkshire and was a sailor who jumped ship . He was buried in St Mary's Swansea in Oct 1823 aged 65.

All the Swansea/Gower Hixsons (or which there are many!) I think are descended from him

To date I have not been able to find him in Yorkshire . Any ideas appreciated .
