1901/1911 census lookup please *COMPLETED*

Just discovered a possible new relative out of the blue - I thought the CHARLWOOD line of my family had all left Ireland in the 1860s but in the 1907 street directory on this site...

http://www.lennonwylie.co.uk/alphanames1907c.htm

...there is a CHARLWOOD A D listed as being a compositor and living at 83 ROSELEIGH STREET. Unless it was a very common occupation I suspect he might be related as it was a family occupation in the second half of the 19th Century.

Any info would be great.

Just found his signature on the Ulster Covenant! Don't know how I've not come across him before...exciting!

Is this any use to you ?. Not the census, but another Charlwood. It's all I could find.

Henry Fullerton married Sarah Ann Charlwood, on the 10 August 1870, in St Anne's Church of Ireland, Belfast.

WOW! That's very interesting Dixie - I did have a Sarah Ann on my tree but by marriage - she married JAMES CHARLWOOD in 1845 and together they had JAMES CHARLWOOD (moved to Liverpool in 1860's).

This must have been her second marriage and she stayed in Ireland - this may explain why James left Ireland in the 1860s. He remarried in the 1870's in Liverpool and then had my G-Grandad.

Interesting to find out what happened - do they hold divorce records in Ireland for this period?

Okay thanks anyway - for anyone that can, her maiden name in 1845 was Sarah Ann Douglass.

Hi,
   A small piece of info. In Emerald Ancestors the index gives the second marriage name as SARAH ANN CHARLWOOD (DOUGLAS)

Also 11 Jun 1902 James Thompson married Helena Charlwood in St. Peters C of I, Belfast
