Your Welcome, just sorry it took me so long to get them, and I must admit I thought there would be more on it.

Hi Belinda

Order the Report and it will give you all 15 graves and all 53 people for £6.

It may not have yours on it, it is a chance you need to consider.

But I do think it is well worth it, and if the one you want isn't there, you may find others from your family on it.

Hi,

Went and order a report for Weaste Cemetery, very excited knowing that I was finally going to find at least one of my ancestors Hannah Crickmore, which suggested that she was buried there from her burial notice in the paper, and only hoping that my GGG Grandparents Hannah and Edward Crickmore where to be located as well, recieved word about the find only to have none buried at Weaste or the surrounding cemeteries. Now I'm even more confused than before, The grandparents died at Salford and the daughter died at Pendelton, anyone have any ideas where else they might be.

There son James was living at Altrincham and was informant on both death certificates, any chance they could have been taken there, not sure of the distance from Altrincham to Salford so not sure if this would have been possible back then.

Cheers

Hi Nari

What does it say on the BUrial notice?Huh

The only reason I can think of for it no tbeing on Cemsearch's records, is A. there wasn't a Headstone for your relative or B. if there was, then it may have become damaged and been removed by Cemetery staff.

If you have exact dates of deaths, then I would now ring Agecroft Cemetery up, and ask them to look at their records, this may cost you though, but worth a phone call anyway.

Altrincham is quite a distance from Salford - and as the grandparents and Daughter were in Salford it would make sense to be Buried in Salford.

The newspaper has to be right, but what does it say??

I was under the impression that the coverage for Weaste on cemsearch wasn't complete.

If your relatives are definitely buried there, then Agecroft will do a grave search in the register, but there is quite a hefty charge.

Alternatively, they may have been buried in a local churchyard. Some of mine were at St Thomas' Pendleton. There is some information at Salford Local History Library

I've found the staff there to be quite helpful

Hi,

Yes the staff at the Salford Library are fantasitc, that is where I obtained the burial notice, the library assistant there was really helpful and had a look for me, this is the notice that she sent to me.

Found the following brief mention in the Salford Reporter 2 March 1901 - interned in Salford Cemetery ( Weaste Cemetery) Hanna Crickmore, Pendleton aged 50 on 28 February. It may have been in a public grave but it is worth checking with Agecroft.

Cheers
