WALDRON/BINNER in Bromsgrove/Catshill/Wildmoor
« on: Wednesday 17 October 07 02:40 UTC (UK) »

ello peeps,

im kinda new to this, but my dad's set me a mission, cos he thinks i have no life at all, and plenty of time on my hands.

anyways, point is im trying to put together a family tree for my dads side of family, and havent a clue where to begin.

surnames are as detailed above. Ive found ramdom peeps with those surnames dated back to 1700's, but cant make a link to my more recent relatives, also random pics.

ive got my grandparents details, and thats bout it.

any advice or info would be appreciated  Smiley

Welcome Del12

You will need to work backwards methodically from your grandparents via marriage/birth certificates and census records.

I am going to move your post over to the Worcestershire board as someone with local knowledge of Worcs records may be able to help you.

hi Del 12

in the 1891 census there are dozens and dozens of Waldrons in Bromsgrove. It seems that are were 8 people with the name Binner but there were in Belbroughton, near to Bromsgrove.
As Rick said , we need to get names of relatives going back as near to 1900 as possible.

As someone else said, there's loads of Waldrons in the Belbroughton - Romsley area. Try contacting the Belbroughton History Society, as I know there's a lady there that has a lot of information on the family. My wife has a link to the Waldron's, but as there were no children from the marriage, it's not a branch I'm investigating.

Belbroughton History Society:

Chairman - Sarah Bradley - 01562 731025    or      Secretary: Sarah Snowden - 01562 730772
or possibly Mrs. Joyce Perry
7 Pear Tree Drive, Pedmore, West Midlands DY8 2LB

These marriages might be relevant?

Rose Hannah WALDRON
She was married in the first quarter of 1895 in the Registration District of Kidderminster. (Volume 6c Page 201)
She appears to have married Emmanuel BINNER

Florence G WALDRON
She was marred in the first quarter of 1926 in the Registration District of Bromsgrove. (Volume 6c Page 287)
She married Silas BINNER

You would need to order the marriage certificate(s) to verify the details.

Can some one please tell me if the Florence G Waldron m Silas refered to is the daughter of Henry Charles Waldron and his wife Catherine Weir. Mine was born in Swansea 1891 and I have found no trace of her since that time?

Hi there,

Perhaps I can help you down the road.  There are two of my branch members advertising WALDRON interests in Belbroughton.  Please go to http://www.bromsgrovebmsgh.co.uk/ click on "members" name interests on the left column and then follow the links.

There's even a chance one of them may turn up at our meeting in November.

Good hunting
