So am I Cathy but so far without luck - the only Prigmore family living in Turvey I can see is a Richard and Mary born c1800 with a daughter Ann; then there is a John Prigmore born Turvey c1821 with wife Mary. Not much use! Jan

James Preston Prigmore was baptised in Cardington in 1815 according to an IGI member submission, his parents presumably William Prigmore and Mary Lovell who married in Cardington on 21 Apr 1808 (William widower of Bedford St Paul per transcript)
I can't see any other children, or see James in any census (yet). If Mary was removed from Cardington to Turvey in 1808, presumably after her marriage when she would have acquired her husband's settlement, she still managed to have her son at least baptised in Cardington IF the member submission is correct (you all must know by now what my view is of member submissions!).
A William Prigmore aged 50 was buried at Bedford St Cuthbert on 2 Apr 1835 but this might be a complete red herring.
Yes, William would have been a Chelsea Pensioner, meaning merely that he was entitled to an army pension, not that he was resident in the Royal Hospital Chelsea
What else do you know about James, Cathy?
David

On the IGI there are several extracted baptisms for children of a William and Mary Prigmore, the first being
Sarah 10 Sep 1809 Bedford St Cuthberts
then a clutch in Goldington running from 1814-29
Whether these are anything to do with your couple Cathy remains to be seen, Sarah somehow looks promising.
No luck with the census yet. Jan
Forget the Goldington children there is a marriage which fits with them. Still liking the look of Sarah
