Barking up the trees
|
Hi folks, I need the help of the rootschat experts here.
On my gran's birth certificate I have her father as Charles Anslow and mother as Fanny Edwards. My Gran was born in Atcham. Her mother is no problem...but his father is another story!
I have all of the uncles and aunts, grandparents and everything of Charles but still don't know who his parents are!!!
In the 1891 and 1901 census I have a Charles Anslow born in Atcham in 1881, living with his aunt Jane Cooper nee Anslow b. 1851...so logically I traced all of Jane's brothers to find out whose son Charles was.....no luck..The address they lived at in 1891 is even the same as on my gran's birth certificate..Belle Vue Road. His grandparents were Charles Anslow b1817 stokesay and Ann Fletcher b1818 Clugunford
How can I find out the parents of Charles without sending for a birth certificate...(I live in Mexico and it takes at least 6 weeks to get here...and also I'm on a tight budget )
Please help! I feel as if I am so near..yet so far! Thank you, Gillian

Apart from buying the birth certificate the only thing I can think of is a request for a look-up in the archives in Shrewsbury. Someone may be going in this week - it's worth a try!
