Hi Kath,
Would you check if there is a burial for an Elizabeth Sturdy in Gt Waltham burials please.
I know she was in Gt Waltham on 20 May 1766 as a witness to the marriage of Susannah Sturdy to William Adams.
I am trying/hoping to establish if Elizabeth was Susannah's sister or mother.
Susannah was baptised 1739 and Elizabeth 1743, both in Nun Monkton, Yorkshire, the PRs gave the fathers name as Oswald but the mother's name was not recorded. Someone in Yorkshire, for a fee, verified the IGI baptisms for me in the Nun Monkton PRs and searched unsuccessfully for the marriage. The researcher found a burial for Oswald but nothing for the mother.
Regards.

Thanks very much for that check Kath, it was a long shot!
Yes I'm well, hope your nerves stood up to having all those kids home, I've got my two grandsons over for the evening today while their parents go out but they are no trouble.
Love, D
