As a follow up to my recent request for John BLACK, I've just realised the one I'm looking for is probably one I have in my notes born Basingstoke, 1863.  He is shown with his family in Durrington, Wiltshire in the 1881 census (father Walter).

So if someone could find a John BLACK, born 1863, Basingstoke, Hants, hawker (or something similar), with son William born approx. 1895 I'll take him Wink
