Hi all...
Looking for ....
George Elkerton b 1841 Leighton Buzzard dist.
He was baptised 10 Oct 1841 ....father Thomas mother Ann.
Baptised as George Aswwell Elkerton. Registered as George Oswald Elkerton Prisoner record as Oswald Elkerton.
Can anyone help?

Hi,
The only one that looks interesting is George Elkerton born 1838 InLeighton Buzzard, a scholar..i think its Union House(a workhouse?)

Well done Sue - i reckon you're right.
I had found the same family in 1861 but hadn,t thought to look for them in 51,,oops 
And on the IGI is a marriage of Ann Elkerton -father John to a John Parker on 5 May 1844, Leighton Buzzard

It could well be ...he got 21 days hard labour for fighting in the work house in 1863. If he is there is he the only elkerton in the work house?

That does look good just looked on IGI and Matilda Louisa Elkerton to Thomas & Ann 1838. She did not show up when I searched for George.

Many thanks for the efforts to piece this one together. George /Oswald was a naughty boy it seems 5 mentions on Bedford Gaol registers and a piccie with a record date of 1863, which started all this. Great to put them all together.
1841 finds Ann Ellgatten spelling no husband at home. John Parker & various Reeve family all in the same road. Reeve was Ann's maiden name by IGI.
