I know of a Clark family from that area. In the 1920s---1950s a Clark family had a farm (Holehouse Farm) they had one daughter, we used to play together as children. The Farm was run down and the wife wanted to leave the land and go back to Slamannan, which she and her daughter did, but the father would not move in his old age, so he remained until his death at Holehouse Farm.
The daughter married and moved 5 miles to Avonbridge where for many years she was the Postwoman, as far as I know she still lives there.
