Hi Jim, thanks for your help
I have the records on microfilm for Leitrim Presbyterian Church, but they are very poorly kept. Robert Bradford & Eliza Bradford (cousins) married at Castlewellan Presbyterian Church in 1879 (I have their marriage certificate) and lived at Slievenaboly. Their children were christened at Leitrim Presbyterian Church but unfortunately not all the childrens baptisms have been entered, so I was hoping someone may be able to help if they had access to the 1901 Census for that area. As the eldest child John Henry didnt marry until 1907, I think all Robert & Eliza's children should be at home. From what I know, I think one child may be called David, other family names are Robert, James, Henry, Sarah and Elizabeth. Every generation seems to have these names! I wont give up just yet! Kind Regards Jenny

Jenny, I am researching Bradfords of Co Down and am wondering if your Robert and Eliza have any connection with my Bradfords. My Great Grandmother was Matilda Bradford, her father was Isaac. He is somehow connected to a line of 4 Williams, fathers & sons. The first William died in 1785, the last one in 1924. All 4 buried in Donaghmore Parish Church. Just can't make the connection. Would be interested to know if you have any info that would bridge the gap. Regards, David

Hi Jim, Thanks for the info. Have already done the 1911 census. A bit too late in time for my Bradfords, although the last William appears in it, in Ringolish. There are too many Bradfords with the same names, apart from Matilda and Isaac. Very difficult to link up. Regards David

Hi Joanne Thank you for your message. The line I am researching is John Henry Bradford, b.1880, he married Mary Moreland. One of their children Rebecca Jane Bradford, b.1918, Slievenaboly/Benraw is my husband's mother. Rebecca married Robert Clydesdale in 1939 and had seven children before her death in 1951. Is your grandfather Hugh Bradford a nephew of John Henry, or connected to that family?
The problem I have is that John Henry Bradford's parent's were Robert Bradford & Eliza Bradford (probably cousins) and both Robert & Eliza's fathers' were called John Bradford. So I cannot get any further back or find out if they had other children other than the ones in Leitrim registers. Do you have any other informationthat may help me
Jenny
