Needing a few birthplace details here I discovered one of your other postings, so lets start with the 1901 census which gives some information and may help us further backwards.

Village, Castle Bytham, Lincolnshire
Frederick Archer Head M 37 Stone Quarry Labourer Lincs Swaffield
Emily J Wife M 31 Norfolk Tilbury? St Giles
Elizabeth daur 11 Northants Eye
Emily J " 10 " "
Fanny " 8 Lincs Swaffield
Frederick son 5 " Castle Bytham
Annie daur 3 " "
RG13; Piece: 3023; Folio: 41; Page: 15

So Emily Jane was born in Norfolk, sorry I was confused by the Huntingdonshire request .

Emily Jane Wife M 24 Tidds St Giles Cambs

I really think it's a bit difficult to continue down the line without a little more information - ie the marriage cert. that Geoff has given the information for, so that we know the father's name.

Sorry but there is no obvious Emily J/Emily Jane who stands out when I look at either the 1881 or 1871 census so I think we need more details.

Marya
You may be correct in your first post as I have Annie Archer born in Castle Bytham RD 1898 21st Jan, Reg District Bourne, Sub Distrct Corby, County of Lincoln, entry No 182.

County boundaries were very mixed up (Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland, Norfolk) They changed so much from census to census
