We have spent a long time researching our family tree but have now hit a fairly solid wall. So far we have traced our tree back to 1727 but are struggling to get further.
The missing link is a birth record for a Thomas/George Hunt born 1690 - 1710 in, we believe, Nassington.
So far the information we have on him is as follows.
On the 3rd April 1727 he married Elizabeth Scotney in Nassington He died on the 6th December 1771 in Nassington His first child was born on the 1st November 1728 in Nassington And his last child was born on the 16th March 1751 in Nassington
We are unsure as to whether he was called Thomas or George. On his first child's birth record he was called George but on his marriage record he has the name George crossed out and Thomas written above.
We believe he was born in Nassington or Yarwell (neighboring village) as there are records of the Hunt family going further back.
We have looked at the microfiche copies, transcripts and original documents but to no avail.
Could someone please tell us if there is any other document that could help us find the birth date and the father of Thomas/George or whether we as far back as we can go? Are there any good look-up services anyone could recommend?
Many thanks
