Have received photocopy of marriage register Richard Winch married Mary Plume on 9th June 1701 at St Giles Bodiam

I'm glad you found what you needed Tony & thanks for bringing us up to date.  I had another look on the SMI & it's not there  Huh  This is what they have for the source information for Bodiam & there does seem to be a gap where we were looking,

1570-1837: SOG SX/REG 40597 at SoG (gap in ts 1702-1738) (C.W.Field);  1702-1738: ESRO ts (covers 1570-1700 in full, compared with F- which amended as necessary).
I'm not sure what that all means but does appear a bit 'iffy',

I can't help with what it means but there doesn't seem to be a gap at the Record Office.
These references to transcriptions are most probably the ones I looked at SOG
