Any Stockton Historians ?
« on: Friday 16 November 07 09:57 GMT (UK) »

Many years ago i was told by my Grandmother that her Grandfather John Wade was a builder in Stockton, and had a street named after him (Wade St) during some kind of Civic Ceremony.

I have now confirmed that John Wade b1831, was a builder and lived in Stockton, near to Wade Street.

Is there any way i can research further into this ?

Regards,
CB.

Hi CB

You could try contacting the reference library at Stockton, staff there may be able to help

Thank you Barbara, I did try them about 6 years back, but it may be worth another try.
