It looks to me like the street name is just James Street. The first address would be 42 James St.
I think it is more likely to say her condition was Married (dissolved).

I agree about the address.
Can't read the word under married, but it does seem to apply to Florence, rather than her son.
Who was Mr CLARKE - do you know?
Is this the marriage?

I still have my doubts about "dissolved" though!
You can't annul a marriage if there are children and dissolved suggests a divorce, which seem unlikely given their standing in life (it was extraordinarily expensive). I guess there is nothing to stop her saying that, though!
There is another step-daughter in 1881, where Florence has remarried to COX. This seems to be her & suggests another liaison within a year or so of her marriage to Mr COX.

Hi Arranroots I agree as to whether to marriage was annulled, as you expensive and they were all labourers of one sort or another, there is no way they could afford it. And thank you for the information without having looked yet,I am wondering why the child was a Coulbert when she was living with Cox? Isn't it wonderful, you start off with a simple query and the next thing you know your are going off at tangents all over the place.
Regards
