Langholm or Canonbie Burials
« on: Sunday 28 October 07 16:16 GMT (UK) »

I am looking for the burial place of William Davidson & his wife Christina. Both died in 1900.
They lived between Langholm and Canonbie, so could be buried in either place.

Any help gratefully received.

Hello Jora
There are a lot of Davidsons in the Langholm graveyards but none  are the ones you named   Similarly with the Canonbie graveyard.  However the Langholm publication includes recent burials but the Canonbie one includes none -  or very few anyway - since 1855

Ate you looking for their burial plot specifically - for the record - or simply as a means of moving back? If the latter can we help further?

Hello Reiver,

Thank you for your help.

I have a great deal of information on the family - these are my great-grandparents. I have the death certificates, but would have liked to have the burial place too, just to tidy things up in the records.

I have searched for a stone in Canonbie without any luck, and it looks as if Langholm is out too.

My last hope would be a death notice in the local paper - an obituary would be a bonus!

Regards,

Jora
