can someone help
I am currently trying to trace what happened to a place called Bryn dinerth lodge in llandrillo yn rhos (rhos on sea) as a number of my ancestors ( Jones & Williams ) were working there in the 1870s they were also living at ffordd or dods cottage not far away in rhos road
regards
Steve

Hi Steve

These links might be helpful

You could also try the Colwyn Bay library as part of Dinerth was incorporated into Colwyn Bay in 1893.

It was located about here: http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=283385&y=379590&z=3&sv=283385,379590&st=4&ar=Y&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf

I have an old map which has the farm named on it.

I am not too sure what is there today - I think some modernish houses.

My grandfather George Henry Skelcey I believe worked as a gardener at Dinerth Hall from about 1905 though he didn't live there (but at Pen-y-Bont.) Last time I looked it was still a farm - I don't think it's ever been anything other than a farm. Houses have been built on some of the land but probably won't be west of there because the water table of the Afon Ganol.

The road on the west side of Bryn Euryn is called Dinerth Road but I think that was named later. Chris
