census lookups

I am seeking any information on Alexander Laidlaw who was born in 1833 at Portpatrick.  He may be the same Alexander that died in 1914 at Inch, the son of James Laidlaw and Janet Hannay.

If anyone can find Alexander in the census records from 1841 through to 1901 I would be grateful for the details.

possible name could be mistranscribed going by the head females surname
unfortunately i do not have access to the census image so cannot tell for sure if the names have been mistranscribed.
hannah laidlaw age 46. b. wigtownshire. married. husband absent.
william ladley age 12. b. ditto. son.
mary ladley age 10. b. ditto. daughter.
alexander ladley age 7. b ditto. son.
living at common. p.p.,portpatrick,wigtownshire.
