Obituary from the local newspaper: June 1854
June 25th, of apoplexy, aged 83 years. Mr William Newmarch, Coach-smith. he was formerly a soldier in the 20th Regiment; he was at the battle of Egmont-op-Zee, and all engagements in Holland, in 1799; and in 1801 he was in Egypt, with General Sir Ralph Abercrombie; he afterwards fought at the battle of Maida Vimiera, Corunna, Walcheren, and Pyrenees, after which he received an honourable discharge. He was in the employ of the late Mr R Hustwick, of the firm Hustwick and Bean Coach manufacturers, thirty years.

Erected in a tribute of the final affection. In memory of William Newmarch of this town who devoted 21yrs of his early life in the defence of his country until the close of the Peninsular War. After a long life of Industry departed this life 25th June 1854 aged 83yrs. Also Ann, his wife who died [ ] April 1855. [ ] Johan Gustaf [ ] this was possibly unreadable at the time of transcription but gives you a point of interest don't know what this means maybe you will have a clue?
PR1854 June 29th William Newmarch, 11 Little Queen Street 83yrs, PR1855 April 15th Ann Newmarch, 11 Little Queen Street age 67yrs?? Must have been misread as she is 77yrs in the 1851 census,

No I don't mind the comments, you are right I didn't explain it properly. I am looking for any info coming forward or back on the Newmarch's .
As to the offer to look up the parentage of William Newmarch born abt 1771 in Beverley YES PLEASE.
