Johnson family name

I wonder if any one can help me. I am looking for information about my Great great grandfather Arthur Hamalton Johnson family and parents. I know he married Elizabeth Luckhurst who was born 1873 in Faversham, Kent.
I also know that he working in Herne Bay Train booking office and later moved to Rocester, Kent.
I know he had one son asked Arthur alfred Johnson born in 1896 in Herne Bay, Kent.
Any help would be grateful.

Yes this is the correct family. John luckhurst is his grandfather. It is Arthur Hamilton Johnsons' father I am having problems tracing

  There are a few Arthurs born in Kent same year as yours.

  Do you know a brother or sister he may have so it makes it a bit easier, anything at all Smiley Smiley

No afraid not.
I do know that Arthur A Johnson married a Ernestine Daisy Terry in 1921. I might be able to ask my grandmother if she knows if Arthur A had brothers or sister.

Sue  have spoken to my grandmother this evening and I now have the sons and daughters of Arthur Hamilton Johnson.

From oldest to youngest
Hillda
Arthur Alfred
Jack (real name possible John)
Renee
Gladies
Robert (known as Bob)

There was a large age gap between Gladies & Robert.

We have also worked out that Arhur H Johnson died between 1924 & 1927 in St Bratholomews Hospital in Chatham on Christmas Eve of Blood poisoning.

Do you actually have the marriage certificate for Elizabeth LUCKHURST and Arthur Hamilton JOHNSON.  If so, does it give any useful information ie. name & occupation for Arthur's father?

The problem I see, and I guess you do too, is that there is a birth of an Arthur Hamilton JOHNSON registered in 1869 Cheshire/Flintshire http://freebmd.rootsweb.com which would be just the right time frame yet the 1901 census says he was born in Plumstead, Kent.  I wonder if the birthplace on the 1901 census is a mistake ie. his wife or somebody else supplied the infomation and wasn't really sure or else we really are looking for an Arthur Hamilton JOHNSON born in Plumstead.  Hopefully there will be some information on the marriage certificate which should help sort it out.
