How does this look?
1901 census. 59, Adrian Street, Moston, Lancs
Thomas Henry Gill, age 35, head, cabinet maker, born Kendal Westmorland
Margaret - wife, 38, born Lancaster

Winnifred - 7, Lancaster

There is a death record of a Thomas Henry Gill, aged 45, in Salford, Sept 1901 vol8d page136
The age on the census is ten years out but that's not unheard of, so it may still be him. The other family members should clarify it for you.

If you send for Winifred's birth certificate, you will get her mother's maiden name from that, then you will be able to search BMD for the marriage with both names, which should be clearer.
Free BMD is not the easiest site to use because it is still incomplete and sometimes, on a page of marriages, there will be an odd number of names, which doesn't work!
I also subscribe to Genes Reunited and have found many distant relations on there, some of whom have masses of family information.
Ancestry.co.uk is quite expensive but I use it constantly so don't mind and Findmypast.com is good but can be very time consuming if you are not sure of an exact year of a birth, death or marriage.
Not sure if I am teaching my granny to suck eggs here, forgive me if you already know all this.
