Dear all you Roots Chatters

                Can anyone find Elizabeth Gaskin born 1833 Little Eaton. I have her on a marriage certificate married to William Cochayne but I cannot read her fathers name as it is not very clear.

whilst there are a few 1833-35 Elizabeths, this is the only one for Little Eaton

William Gaskin 51 yrs coal dealer b Derbys Willington
Elizabeth 50 yrs  coal dealer's wife b Little Eaton
William 20 yrs boatman  b -do-
Elizabeth 17 yrs coal dealer's daughter b -do-
Henry 15 yrs boatman b -do-
Sarah 11 yrs scholar  b- do-
Frances 7 yrs scholar b Spondon

does it ring any bells?

Thank you for your reply. Yes this looks the right family.

It looks like they were Coal Dealers and they used the canal's to move the coal around the Country as there was not any motorways in them days. How interesting this is,

hope that was her because it has taken a while to find her in 1841. I think this is the family  Roll Eyes (making allowances for spellings and transcriptions)
