I am doing a one name study of the Rossiter family and am looking for information please about the parents and siblings of Thomas George Rossiter christened on July 7th 1831 at St Mary's, Portsea.
Any information would be greatly appreciated please. TIA.

Thomas George's parents were Thomas and Sophia Rossiter.
Thomas Rossiter married Sophia Rice 14 July 1830 Portsea St Mary's
Other children were:
George Joseph b 20 mar 1834 bapt 15 May 1836
Joseph Rice b 8 Mar 1836 bapt 15 May 1836

Do you have years of birth and places of birth please for Thomas & Sophia?
I need the information so I can find Thomas the father's parents and siblings.

Hi,
Thomas George Rossiter had a brother called Richard Collins Rossiter christened on 3.7.1849 at St Mary's, Portsea, Hampshire, England.
Is it possible find details i.e dates & places of birth of his parents in the 1851 Census please?

This is really odd - I can't find him  But in case someone else with eyes less squiffy than mine are tonight, Richard was born in 1841 but baptised in 1849. No guarantee that he was born in Hampshire of course, but it seems likely.

James Rice ROSSETER
Birth: 07 JUL 1839
Christening: 24 AUG 1845 Saint Marys, Portsea
Father: Thomas ROSSETER
Mother: Sophia
and perhaps more interestingly,
Sophia Sarah Jane ROSSITER
Birth: 14 SEP 1843
Christening: 14 OCT 1853 Saint Marys, Portsea, Hampshire
Father: Thomas ROSSITER
Mother: Sophia
who seems to have been born in France,
Sophia Sarah Jane ROSSITER
Birth: 12 SEP 1843 Ingouville, Le Havre, Seine-Maritime, France
Father: Thomas ROSSITER
Mother: Sophia RICE
I wonder if that's where the family is at census time?

Seine-Maritime region is number 76, on the linked page here,

On the IGI France is in the Continental Europe region, having a quick look at the Christening Batch Nos for Ingouville I think only females are recorded  but if the children were born in France it would explain why I can't find their births.
