Hi - from the Chipping Norton Transcripts

marriage
1794 Feb 19th
Timothy Bricknell (x) otp bach
to
Ann Ladner or Lardner(x) otp sp by banns
witnessed by Thos Ladner(x) & Catherine Matthews

I had a look at the rest of the Chipping Norton registers - you probably know all this,  they had 3 children baptised there Timothy in 1794, Robert in 1797 and Elizabeth in 1799 and are not mentioned again,  there are later baptisms for children of Robert & Susanna Bricknell starting in 1807.  There are no Bricknell burials at Chipping Norton.

the son Timothy appears to have married Sarah Taylor in 1822 in Burford - he is given as off Great Barrington (which is in Gloucestershire) they are later found in Oxford City.

The other son Robert appears in the census in Great Barrington and seems to think he was born there, so it is possible that they moved there when Robert was a baby.

That is all I can find for the moment.

Hi Pam - have you found his burial?  I think I have Anns from Great Barrington 23rd October 1826 aged 70, but there is no sign of Timothy, having said that I am using the NBI 2 and Great Barrington is only in there 1813-1854 so if he died before that it wouldn't show

Thanks for that Debbie. No I don't have deaths for either Timothy or Ann.

The death for Ann in 1826 aged 70 would make her birthdate 1756.

I had a possible date of poss 1777 and married 1794.

Could be an earlier generation?

Will keep it on file.

A BIG thankyou.
