Willmott family of Southwark, Surrey
« on: Tuesday 30 October 07 00:21 GMT (UK) »

Looking for anyone who has an interest in the Willmott family of Southwark.  Frederick Willmott had sons William Willmott b.1765, and James 1760.  William married Sarah Monnery on 21 Jan 1822.  They had Charles b.1824, Frederick b.1825, Edwin b.18 Nov. 1830

Sarah is a widow by 1841 census and in business as a druggist at High Street, Southwark with her 3 children although Frederick's occupation is given as 'Attorney'.

Frederick married Ellen Fell on 15 May 1856 and witnesses to the marriage were Sarah Willmott, Joseph Tasker and Helen Tasker.  Helen Tasker became a Countess of Middleton Hall in Shenfield, Essex Godmother to Ellen and Rose Willmott who were the daughters of Frederick Willmott and Ellen Fell.  Ellen Willmott (the daughter) became a famous horticulturist and owned Warley Place in Essex.

Any information on anyone mentioned above would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks,

Diana
