i have searched for a long time without success for george read born aldershot 1863/1865
        i have typed a mistake i meant george sandy 1863/1865 aldershot.                                     ann

Ann,

There is a birth of a George Read in Farnborough, not far from Aldershot (which is in Hampshire by the way), March 1865, 2a 104.  If you wish to verify this a quick check on Free BMD will suffice.  Regards. Elaine

thank you, i know i'm rather late replying ,just noticed a reply.
i typed the info wrong on that post.i have 2 greatgrandfathers they are both george
george read i believe was born in st marys southampton ,i was told by a family member d.o.b was 11th oct 1856.i've yet to find it and get a birth cert ,failed so far.
george sandy is born aldershot 1863/1865
