Hello 
Does anyone have access to baptism records for Horsepath?
I'm trying to find Ellen Surman (could be Sirman) born in 1824. Her father's name is Thomas and he's a farmer. Mother may be Ann but not sure.
I'd be very grateful for any help.

Hi Susan,
Here's the baptism in Horsepath:
April 20 1823 Ellen d. Thomas, lab. & Mary.
There are lots of Surman baptism around this time - and just to confuse matters, there is also a couple - Thomas, lab. & Ann!
Tried to extricate the other children of Thomas & Mary -
Apr 1 1810 Elizabeth d/o Thomas & Mary
Apr 5 1812 Mary Ann "
Jul 12 1818 Henry s/o Thomas, farmer & Mary
Sep 11 1825 Emma d/o Thomas, lab. & Mary

I have been unable to find Ellen on the 1841 census and have been guessing at possible families for her but now that you have found the baptism for her and her siblings I should be able to pin them down.
