I am trying to trace Edward STUBBLEFIELD / STUBBERFIELD, his wife and children who all lived in Trumpington, Cambridge. I believe Edward was born circa. 1794 and I have his wife as Sarah PARISH. I only have one child to date, John STUBBLEFIELD born circa. 1823 but I'm convinced there are others. If SKS has the PR's for Trumpington I'd be extremely grateful for any information.
Many thanks
Chris

maybe mary is a relative??
only a guess though

Yes, thank you Suz. I have all the census records, its just tying them all in. The PR for Trumpington would do all that for me.

Very useful, thank you. Hoping that Edward and Sarah have more children than just John and Ann.
Best wishes
Chris

As all of Cambs parish register baptisms are on the 1801-37 index on the website - http://www.cfhs.org.uk/Search.html - it doesn't seem as though there were more children, unless they were not baptised for whatever reason.
Do you have reason to think there were more eg by finding unaccounted for Stubblefields born Trumpington in censuses?

Yes Dave, I have several STUBBLEFIELD's from several census returns consistently indicating their birth dates were between 1801 and 1830 and were always in Cambridgeshire. Mainly Newton and Trumpington. If you say the baptisms on the website is complete for Cambridge then I'm pretty stumped unless they weren't baptised.
Many thanks
Chris

There was another family of Stubblefields living in Newton in 1851 - Job & Mary both age 55, Job born Triplow Cambs (Thriplow?), who had children aged 12 & 9 born in Trumpington. I don't believe in coincidences. They had three children baptised in Newton according to the baptism index.
Have you found the marriage entry of Edward and Sarah to see if any additional information is provided, and to see who the witnesses were? Trumpington parish register hasn't been extracted onto the IGI, so the marriage entries there, without an exact date, are all member submissions and need to be taken with a pinch (large) of salt.
It's always possible that they were non-conformist. But with just John (aged 15 in 1841, which covers 15-19) with Edward in 1841 it looks to me as if there were no subsequent children.
Regards
David
