Manchester Guardian and Observer newspapers is to be made available via a newly launched online digital archive.

Readers will be offered free 24-hour access during November, but after this trial period charging will be introduced.

Thats fantastic, I also found for a friend of mine, a great Uncle who committed murder, she thought that this was just a rumour in the family.

Marj - my eyes are now tired out, but that was great , especially for free!
There was quite a bit on MIL's family - I found who her maternal grandfather worked for (via report of Chamber of Commerce meeting); some notices relating to his FIL's business failures; tons on the *great-uncle (city councillor etc) - so a good mixture in all. Just have to read it all now & see where it take me.
