As a Southampton City Council employee, I receive a newsletter into my work email every few days.  Today an event was listed, which I tried to email home, but the work email system has chosen not to forward it on, but here is what I remember;

4th & 5th 3rd & 4th November 12 - 4pm at the Hawthorns Centre on the Common.  Information on researching family history in Southampton & info on the Old Cemetery on the Common.

I tried to find a link on the Southampton website, but nothing I'm afraid. * see below

Family history information weekend

Saturday, 3 -  Sunday, 4 November

Join staff from The Hawthorns Centre, Bereavement Services & City Archives (Sunday only), volunteers from Friends of Southampton Old Cemetery and Hampshire Genealogical Society for help and advice with tracing your family history. Find out what resources are available and where to access them. 12noon - 4pm, The Hawthorns Centre, The Common. Tel: 023 8067 1921.
