Frances John Davies I believe was a school master between 1881 and 1884 somewhere in Kingston Upon Thames. I do not have an address as this has been told to me by a family member.
I have checked the 1881 Census and he was living at Churchstoke in Montgomershire, by 1884 he had then moved to Llanyblodwel in Salop/Montgomeryshire boarders again as a School Master
By 1891 he had been promoted to the position of Headmaster in Llanfechain Montgomeryshire and was still there by the time of the 1901 Census.
Can anyone help me out in trying to find if this is correct and how would I find out which was the school in question ?
The above page from Genuki shows a map in 1902 and would lead you elsewhere also for more information. In 1901 the population was only 595 so one should assume there was only one school. Its name was, and still is, the Llanfechain Church of Wales School.

It was very nice to see a map of Llanfyllin. I am trying to find the family in Kingston Upon Thames, this is the puzzle I am working on at the moment and that I know little about.
