Kingsway School, Watford

My uncle Gordon, who died last year, was a pupil of Kingsway School, Briar Road, Watford. Apparently he joined the school on its very first day. A Mr Burden was the Head master. Can anybody help me with any info on the date the school opened or where  I might find any school records.
