I am looking for Robert Price in 1861 - i have the following info so far for this travelling family
Robert Price born c 1823 Wellington married Mary Ann Besford born c 1830 Wellington
they married 14/4/1857 and Robert's father was Henry Price.
they had the following children
Cornelius born 1849 Wellington
Robert born 1857 Pontesbury
Mary Ann born 27/8/1859 Pontesbury, died 19/12/1949
Henry born 1863 Pontesbury
Nebuchodnezer born 1865 Pontesbury
they should therefore be in the Pontesbury area!
In 1871 they are in Kenley and Robert is a tinker

That looks good and extra children too! Maybe Robert was just missed off, the order runs like he should be there and also the relationship says step dau for 2 children. Mary Ann was married before so they would be Robert's step children.

Come to think of it the oldest step child is 20 and she is 31 so can't be hers, strange

Rather think they would be Robert's children by a 1st wife. Given his age this is more feasible. Don't know if you have access to census but Mary is definitely first on list. Cornelius is also missing. Could they be out poaching rabbits!!
The only other trace I can find is 1891 RG12/2136/85/3 A gipsy van in Mr. Leach's field, Tunstall Lane, High Offley, Staffs.
Cornelius Price Head Marital status unknown - 40 - Travelling tinker, tinman etc. Place of birth unknown.
Mary Price wife? pob unknown
Mary Price dau single 18 Dom. serv. general pob. unknown
Jane Price dau single 11 pob unknown
Kelly Price dau single 9 pob unknown.
