Could any of you kind folks find the maiden surname and any further information regarding E. E. MacKenzie, widow of Alexander MacKenzie? Alexander was born 1887 St Saviours and married in 1910. He died from TB age 27 in 1914 at 59 Pond Road, West Ham. The FreeBMD does not give the lady's name unfortunately... Thanks!

Any children born before he died ? we should be lucky if so, as Maiden name shown from 1911 ...
otherwise you'll have to get the Cert, or reevaluate those initials ?

At least I think I can rule out Miss Sapsford. Mary Harriet Sapsford married Alexander's brother Charles in December 1910 at West Ham Register Office. They had two children Charles Henry and Kathleen Rosina. I did see reference to an Alexander MacKenzie born West Ham June 1911 (4a 98), but have no further details.

Looking Forward.......

Just a suggestion. Try the births on FreeBMD because the mothers surname is listed after Sept Q 1911. They list up to 1921 for West Ham.
Malcolm.
